educational
Chiverton has over 30 years of experience providing educational buildings. Four complete new primary schools have been built along with many new classroom extensions, ranging in scope from single classrooms to entire new teaching wings.
Contracts at Steyning Grammer School have included a new teaching wing, an art technology block and a single storey extension to the dining hall with catering facilities.
All works were carried out during the normal running of the school, and necessitated close co-operation to ensure the pupils were provided with suitable accommodation during the construction process. The highest priority was given to the safety of pupils and public during these works.
At Chichester College, Chiverton constructed a workshop teaching wing, nursery, and a sports hall complete with all weather pitch and pavilion.
The challenge is always to complete on time with a short lead-in period during school holidays or term-time when all the critical players are busy.
Chiverton worked closely in collaboration with the client and design team on this complex and multi-phased project to ensure its successful delivery, safely with the minimum of disruption and critically, on time and budget.
