Chiverton

housing development

Chiverton has undertaken many multiple residential developments, particularly in connection with projects where special craftsmanship or technical skills are required.

At St Mary’s Almshouses the new build works required careful planning and execution as the site was constrained by existing historical buildings and access restricted.  The project was built in brick and timber cladding and won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award in recognition of the care taken to produce a scheme appropriate to the area.

Chiverton was also selected to build two phases of Housing Association sponsored Affordable Homes at West Dean, where extensive experience of the high quality flintwork was required.  Similar criteria resulted in Chiverton constructing a 20 unit part new and part listed terrace renovation project at Floyd’s Corner which had fallen into major disrepair.

The Chichester ‘Foyer’ comprising over 30 refurbished and 18 new build starter homes for homeless youngsters was a fine example of the company’s ability to carry out fast track city centre work.
