Chiverton

joinery

Chiverton and its partner R W Armstrong have several joinery workshops which are highly regarded for producing joinery of the finest quality.  Traditional joinery and polishing skills complemented with the use of state-of-the-art machinery.

Whether a client requires an extravagant panelled room to be restored to its former glory, an intricate bespoke staircase, large complex windows, a handmade kitchen or bar, products can be crafted exactly to specifications.  More unusual bespoke joinery requests have included an extension with curved plywood walls, and a complex timber gridshell structure for the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.

Careful consideration is given to the use and re-use of traditional materials to minimise waste, and, where practical, new materials are sourced from sustainable resources.

Chiverton was chosen based on their experience of this type of work and the build quality of their previous projects. They completed the project on time, within budget, and to a very high standard of finish. We were pleased with their approach to the project, which was always helpful and co-operative.
